Here's a timeline of events for what's happened on the site so far. We plan on updating this periodically as we make new events so everyone stays up to date and new members can jump right into the fray. We may not do something every month, but we want to continue to make new and interesting issues for the island to explore.

Elias Island has had a long and tranquil history, thriving off the coast of Maine. Mr. Elias broke ground on the town several decades ago, but the town's inception has mostly remained shrouded in obscurity. However, new details begin to come to light when a mysterious earthquake rocks the foundation of the island two months before the start of the new school term. In its wake, life-long residents of the island and newcomers alike begin to exhibit new and startling abilities from subtle persuasions to destructive forces. Did Mr. Elias find something when he broke ground on the island? What did he bury beneath the town?

Things begin to go back to normal, but it’s only the calm before the storm. Things are once again changing beneath the island as another earthquake suddenly shakes the city to its core with more force than the previous one. Though the city remains standing strong, houses are shaken and cracked and there is flooding in the lower elevations on the island. The added stress may addle emotionally controlled powers once more and even for those who have managed to regain some control. The earthquake awakens strength in everyone’s abilities previously unknown to them. As the rumbling subsides, people may be able to regain control, but no one knows when the next quake will strike. At least, not yet.

For those brave enough to try and unravel the truth, intrepid explorers will discover a new pathway that has opened inside the cove, leading to a cave long since abandoned from the island’s inception. Those who brave the dark passage will find their powers increasing as they near the islands center. Passed the towering stalagmites, the furthest tunnels remain inaccessible across a bottomless dead drop into the caverns below. Though out of reach, the next quake may reveal a new passage. Whatever lies beneath the island holds the secret to everyone’s abilities, a secret only Mr. Elias himself knew when he created the island. There are clues left behind, but who will discover them first, and what will they use the knowledge to accomplish?

The earthquakes and aftershocks have seemed to stopped, at least for now, but they've left a mess in their wake. The second earthquake in particular was strong enough to shake all of the island up, resulting in damage both cosmetic and structural. The island's governmental funds have covered most of the immediate, urgent repairs, but there are plenty of buildings and areas in need of some tender love and care. In order to help raise enough funds to cover the cost of all the needed repairs, a group of people on the island, spearheaded by some Academy students, have decided to throw a carnival.

The carnival itself is on the university grounds, rides and booths and stalls all sprawling across the green during the last hurrah of summer before classes resume. It may appear to be all fun and games, but no one has forgotten the reason behind it. Volunteers are needed to donate food or other goods to sell, to run ticket booths and help operate the rides, and to make sure everything runs smoothly and cleanly. Anyone with a bit of extra money or time to spare willing to help out would be a more than welcome addition. The weather has been hot and muggy, but what better way to say goodbye to summer (and raise some much-needed money in the meantime) than with a carnival?

Jamie Kim has returned like the prodigal son. To celebrate his return, his father, with the help of Mr. Hardy and his son, Phillip, are throwing a semi-formal gala in his honor to help him get back into the island style of living. Everyone's invited so James can shake hands and reacquaint himself with the island's inhabitants. The ballroom in the Atlantis City Suites has been rented out for the night and decorated fit for a king. Mr. Kim is sparing no expense to make the event a smashing success. Spirits, good company, and live musical entertainment are an excellent way to dance away an evening. And perhaps, maybe a little more. Jamie's father has made his not-so-subtle intentions to clear to the many prospective women on the island that it may be time for his son to make a connection, one that might change his life for the better, and ultimately lead to an heir for his company down the line. This could be a night to remember.

It's Halloween night and everything is in place for the largest celebration in Elias Island history. After pulling some strings within the Academy and with the town's Event Committee, Jack Skellington is taking over the town with attractions, games, haunted houses and more to bring young and old alike out for a Halloween the likes of which they've never seen.

Along Main Street, the heart of the town has been transformed into a Trick-or-Treat street for young and old as shops put up their best decorations, letting customers judge them on their Halloween spirit and costumes. Here staff from the Academy and other volunteers patrol the streets in disguises, poised to scare and chase party goers for a laugh while kids get to collect all the candy they can eat from the shops and other stops along Main Street. Outside on the Academy's grounds, the Halloween Carnival is filled with games and attractions from apple bobbing to carving pumpkins and even a pumpkin catapult. The whole island is a party and everyone is invited. Anyone who's anyone will be there. As with any party, feelings are bound to be hurt and friendships are sure to be made as people parade around in their costumed masquerade.

But in the true Halloween spirit, Jack has cast his shadow into Tulgey Wood, where a Haunted Trail now awaits the brave and curious. The changing foliage conceals winding turns and twisting paths in a maze of trees designed to confuse and unsettle those who enter, along with traps set by costumed monsters hoping to terrify those unfortunate enough to enter their parlor. There will be screaming, chases, and even a few chainsaws thrown in for good measure. Have fun, and watch your step. It might be your last…

Winter has come at last to the island of Elias, and the holiday spirit is in full bloom. After the hecticness of the last few months, Halloween festivities and earthquakes and all, the citizens of the island are desperately seeking some normalcy. Now coupled with the holiday rush for all of the retail shops and the party planning, everyone has enough to deal with alongside new and emerging powers, more secrets of the island's shrouded past and more strange and new residents arriving everyday.

The Halloween disaster left a sour taste in Jack Skellington's mouth, and for the last month, he's been hiding well out of the public eye in order to keep his powers in check. As he attempted to learn some control over his abilities, he began to think about what would come next. Although not everyone was aware he was the cause of the incident, he had managed to keep a low profile just in case, just to be safe. But then, a startling new idea! Perhaps it was only the occasion that had unleashed his abilities. As he waited in his dorm, Jack began planning for a new type of holiday, one he's never tried his hands at before.

After some extensive planning, Jack has emerged from his seclusion, bringing with him his own version of tidings and good cheer with a Winter Village. It's going to be a very merry Christmas!

Much like the previous Halloween disaster, Elias Island is once again at the mercy of powers gone awry. After a disastrous meeting with Anna and Hans, Elsa fled, leaving a fierce blizzard in her wake and the whole island on ice. The fallout of the incident continues as parties begin to search for the runaway girl and the island is buffeted by unending snow fall. As students begin to return to the Academy for the new semester, many of the classes have been suspended as either the instructors fail to make the trek through the storm or there aren’t enough students to teach, and the halls seems eerily empty for the new year. Many shops and business close with the storm as store fronts become snowed in and the roads ice over.

The island isn’t the only one feeling the effects of the blizzard. Although the waters off the coast remain thawed, the seas are choppy and rough. Too rough for the ferry to the mainland to make the dangerous trip across the channel, and those who have come to the island for the holidays now find themselves trapped until they can find other passage off of the island by ships heavier than the usual ferry. Food and supplies that usually make the journey with the ferry are transferred to sturdier freights to deliver necessary food and medicine, but as the storm rages on the snow is getting deeper and the temperature continues to drop. For most, it seems a freak winter storm, but for those who were witness to the event at the Winter Village, they know better, and it may fall to the islanders themselves to stop the blizzard and save the island in whatever way they can.

The blizzard brought Elias Island to a freezing cold halt, but now things are beginning to heat up in an entirely new way. The Sugar Plum Fairy, resident matchmaker and love expert, adores Valentines Day. What better way to spend the rest of winter by cuddling up with a sweetheart, right? Eager to spread the sentiment to the rest of the island, she may have taken it a bit too far, and her powers have run amuck.

Her accidental spell has hit a good chunk of the island, whether they be old, young, taken, single, or in "complicated" relationships. Once the spell hits, anyone but family is fair game to fall in love with. The pell-mell coupling may have caused some chaos, but in her opinion, it's the best kind of chaos. Strangers, friends, lovers, it doesn't matter: love is a wonderful thing, no matter how indiscriminate! Of course, that doesn't mean her unwitting victims would necessarily agree with her.

LILY ANGORIAN and ERIS DEYANIRA are up to their usual tricks, only this time it’s gotten a much wider reach!

Inspired by the love spell and earthquakes that amplified people’s powers of the near past, when Lily found out that a man’s attentions were nothing more than an April Fools trick, she decided that laying a curse on his head to boost up his ‘natural talents’ was the way to go. Eris decided to get involved as well, adding in her chaos manipulation to Lily’s curse inducement, which ended up having the unintended consequence of swapping the man’s powers with his girlfriend’s – seeing her suddenly drenched in water that she had conjured, despite not previously having any affinity with water, was a sight to see.

It may have been nothing but an idle bit of curiosity taken too far for Lily and Eris, but the results are so excellent that they decided to amp it up. A little wider wording of a curse, a little more chaos, and suddenly this swap has covered everyone on the island. It’s not always clear how the power swap is decided, or why certain powers are affected while others aren’t, but now people are having to deal with something brand new and altogether different, when they were just getting used to their old powers to begin with. Maybe some will come away with a better appreciation of what they have, but whatever happens, it’ll promise chaos.

The days are getting longer, and the inhabitants of Elias Island are excited for summer and breaks from school. But as graduation season begins, disaster strikes again as the island is ravaged by its third Earthquake, the most destructive one yet. Some preparations have been made since the last incident and emergency services are quick to respond, but the damage is extensive, enough to seriously cripple buildings, crack foundations as well injure or trap the more unfortunate island citizens.

To make matters worse, as the quake and subsequent shock waves cause damage and high waves savage the coastline and boardwalk, people with abilities now find them almost too strong to control. Those who have newly arrived on the island and have only just discovered their powers now see them in full force for the first time, and those powers that have lain dormant and weak now spring to life in full effect as the ground cracks beneath them. The cove has shifted and cracked under the force of the quake, revealing strange new pathways going deeper into the mysterious island. Some of the tunnels even seem man-made, and for the intrepid explorer who may brave the descent, only their powers and the help of trusted friends will guide them safely to the secret chambers that lie newly uncovered beneath Elias Island. This could be the answer the secret of the island’s creation we've all been waiting for.

To most of the world, Elias Island might just be an insignificant dot on the map, but to everyone who lives here, it's a place with a short but rich history well worth celebrating. This August marks the 120th anniversary of its founding by Walter Elias. In order to commemorate this milestone, the Elias Island Historical Society is throwing a charity auction event. The west wing of the City Hall building, including the museum, will be host to a night of fun and good will. All money raised will be used for the island's preservation, in repairs for remaining damages from the earthquake and blizzard and regular upkeep for the government and Academy buildings.

Elias citizens, both current and former, have come together to offer items and services up for silent auction. Bid on one of the original cornerstone bricks from the first Academy building, or a night of unparalleled pampering at the Atlantis City Suites, or any of the other two dozen lots up for auction. In addition, donation boxes are available around City Hall and raffles will be held periodically throughout the night. Short on money but not in spirit? The auctions are the highlight, but they're not the only thing: with door prizes, a live band, fancy catering, and an open dance floor, there's enough to ensure everyone can join in on the celebrations!

Last year's official Halloween festivities ended disastrously, to say the least. To cut down on the chance that another mess would happen this year, the city has agreed that the only official event will be trick-or-treating at the shops up and down Main Street, from 4 til 7, with sunset falling smack dab in the middle. While this may be enough fun for the youngest Elias citizens, many of its adults have decided that, official festivities or not, Halloween wouldn't be any fun without a little extra fun.

So in lieu of one huge Halloween event, four parties have sprung up, each with their own take on the holiday. Up for some spookier fun, where you never know what's lurking around the corners? Roam through the island's own haunted mansion in the Hundred Acre Estates (but beware of the Beasts and curses that may be waiting for you!). Want something with people your own age? Come roam the halls of the west university dorm, where every room is filled with booze and candy and costumes of varying levels of decency. Looking for something a little more exclusive? Make sure you have the password, then head down the Ball and Socket for a Halloween speakeasy and drink and dance the night away. Everything sounding a little too high-key? Not to worry, the beach is sure to be littered with people of all kinds with the bonfire that's planned a little off the boardwalk. There's fun (and surprises) to be found on every side of the island!

After the unexpected turn of events in October when rogue Halloween parties started to pop up, not doing anything wasn’t an option, but the concern about the bad weather of last December meant that a big event wasn’t in the cards. Instead, the Elias Island Events Committee turned to the Elias Academy Model UN, and the idea for a month long celebration of different cultures popped up. The December Celebrations Festival is meant to be inclusive, multicultural, and bring with it a spirit of togetherness and tolerance at a time of year that is all about family.

All throughout the month, there will be events small and large to celebrate a number of different blessings, events, celebrations and festivals, all of which are celebrated at some point in December. Some days will have multiple things going on, with larger events and booths of information, some will be presentations, where people are given the opportunity to learn about a new culture, and some are small, intimate affairs, where everyone involved is expected to participate. No matter your religion, creed, ethnicity or background, there is bound to be something that you can be involved in, and hopefully you learn something about someone else along the way, and share something special with your loved ones.

January has been an interesting month for the citizens of Elias Island. Memories of last year's blizzard made the dip in temperatures nerve-racking for everyone, and then the middle of the month brought a week full of earthquakes. But to everyone's surprise, it's been a relatively quiet winter for the island, all things considered. The end of January brings yet another natural phenomenon: the lunar eclipse that the whole world is dubbing the "super blue blood moon", a first in over 150 years.

Maine is too far west to see the eclipse in totality, but that won't stop amateur stargazers from watching as the unusually large moon is partially eclipsed. But as the moon dips below the horizon, everyone's superpowers begin to slowly seep away, leaving them as normal as they were two years ago.
